Mark Moxley

My youngest son Mark lives in Buckingham with his wife, Anna, two teenage sons, Charlie and Jack, a Springer Spaniel named Harper and Fig the tortoise.

Mark has always been creative and from having a stall on Brighton beach as a teen to painting A-boards for various clients, to theming his work places for annual calendar dates, to creating tiny inspirational/amusing sculptures left around his town to lift moods during lockdown, he certainly keeps busy in his spare time!

He has now attained gallery space displaying his work and is collaborating with various retailers to sell his art across Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. He is currently involved in designing and painting the set and props for the local pantomime.

Mark has been lucky enough to have his work selected to be exhibited at the Bucks Art Week’s 40th anniversary exhibitions which is the largest visual arts event in the country.

Currently, his artwork is on sale in Freya Jones Art in Buckingham and Margo and Evie Too at The Bell Plantation in Towcester. The BAW will be running from the 6th June to the 21th June 2026.

Angry Whale, Mark's alias, takes beautiful oil paintings framed in ornate antique gilt frames... and ‘graffitis’ them! He takes tiny figures, usually only half an inch tall, and manipulates them into poses. He hand-paints the figures with street wear and makes miniature paint cans, tiny ghetto blasters, drinks, ladders and scaffolding, boxes full of discarded spray cans and everything a budding tiny graffiti artist would need! These paintings evolved to sculptures, and the mini artists are poised, scrawling on toy trains, plant pots, cassette tapes and even a brick! These unique and original sculptures are selling fast and Mark has been working hard to replenish stocks.

You can find his portfolio at Angry Whale on Facebook, angrywhale on Instagram, and angrywhale5 on Tik Tok.
